Busy spots shouldn’t slow everyone down.
Spawn towns, events and big builds draw crowds. On many servers, that extra load is felt across the whole world. Divine is being built to handle those moments better.
-
Vanilla rules
Game mechanics and the world format stay the same as vanilla Minecraft.
-
No client mods
Players join with the regular Minecraft client.
-
Measured changes
Every performance change is tested before it stays. Changes that don’t help are rolled back.
One early test result
With 250 test players standing in one spot, a development build of Divine needed about 37% less time per game tick than Folia, the server software it is built from. The result held in all 3 runs.
In two other early tests, Divine and Folia performed about the same. Final release testing hasn’t happened yet.
